Lucca is an Italian town with about 85,000 inhabitants in Tuscany. Lucca is located in the valley of the river Serchio between Pisa and the Tuscan coast. In the 13th and 14th centuries, especially the textile industry was of great importance. The large spaces in Lucca, the churches and medieval towers bear witness to the former significance of Lucca's. The fortifications were completed in 1645 and included a long among the most impressive in all of Italy. They are well preserved today.
