Lake Brienz is an alpine lake in the canton of Bern in Switzerland. The steep banks are also continued under the water level so that there are hardly any area of shallow water. Main tributary of Lake Brienz is the Aare, along with a number of smaller streams flow into Lake Brienz. Noteworthy are the Giessbachfälle that pour in Lake Brienz.
