Crans-Montana is a tourist resort in the French speaking part of the Swiss canton of Valais on the high plateau to the town Montana. For the tourist resort of Crans-Montana also include the five municipalities Chermignon, Icogne, Lens, Mollens and Randogne as well as a number of smaller settlements on the slopes high above the valley of the Rhone between Sion and Sierre. The reasoning of Crans-Montana took place in 1892 with the opening of the Hôtel du Parc by Messrs Antille and Zufferey from Sierre.
