During World War Cavazuccherina became the scene of battles between the Italian and Austro-Hungarian army.
In the 20th century the church of Santa Maria Assunta was destroyed. In the thirties began a renewed upturn in the tourism sector. The first bathhouse was near the Piazza Marconi. Mid-thirties were numerous villas and hotels built.
In the sixties, high end hotel and residential buildings were built in the town center and the beach area. The current planning campaign called Jesolo City Beach 2012 Design.
